Day 3-4: Khubu IslandAs we drive towards Kubu Island, the environment morphs from Mopani tree forests to a moon-like landscape. Setting up camp under towering baobab trees. At night, the sky transforms into a glittering blanket of stars, a breathtaking contrast to the ones a thriving lake.
Day 4-5 : Elephant Sands Heading to Elephant Sands, we are greeted by the sight of elephants roaming freely, their massive forms moving gracefully across the landscape. We set up camp and watch these gentle giants from a close distance, their interactions and behaviors captivating us. Their sheer presence leaves an indelible mark on our hearts.
Day 6: Ancient Pebble beach
On the vast, shimmering salt pans of Botswana lies a hidden island Kukunje, the ancient pebble beach. To camp here is to step back in time. By day, the endless white stretches to the horizon, broken only by the rocky rise of the island. The silence is so complete you can almost hear history itself whispering through the wind.
